Washington University in St Louis Olin Business School

Olin Business School
BUILDING OLIN: A Foundation of Excellence

The job of buildings is to improve human relations: architecture must ease them, not make them worse.
- Ralph Erskine, Architect, 1914–2005

The Bob and Barbara Frick Olin Facilities Challenge

Bob and Barbara Frick have established a $4,000,000 challenge that will match 1:1 gifts for Olin Business School’s new facilities. This very generous challenge helps to lay the capital foundation for Olin’s second century of top-ranked business education. Olin’s new Knight Hall and Bauer Hall facilities are among the most visible and exciting parts of Leading Together: The Campaign for Washington University, as these two buildings will double Olin’s footprint on the Danforth Campus.

The Bob and Barbara Frick Olin Facilities Challenge is in addition to the Fricks’ generous $1,000,000 challenge commitment to inspire alumni, parents, and friends of Washington University in the San Francisco Bay area to increase their support for the Annual Fund.

Knight Hall and Bauer Hall will be connected by a large glass atrium, which also connects to the outdoors to allow natural light into all five floors. There are a variety of special spaces offering naming opportunities within the buildings, and all gifts of $10,000 or more will be recognized on a stately donor wall at the entrance to Knight Hall.

For a list of naming opportunities, building floor plans, and additional information about the facilities, please contact Nancy Barter in Olin’s Alumni & Development Office by calling (314) 935-9053 or emailing
